Bed Head

Brooklyn's hair is officially long enough to get bed head. This past Monday Val went in to get her up from her nap and broke into laughter at the sight of her hair. It was all standing straight up!

No styling was done to this mohawk.

Sunday Dinner

Sunday afternoon, Charlie's parents hosted an afternoon dinner in honor of John being home.
Please note, in Missouri, it's dinner during the day and supper at night. :)
Brooklyn enjoying some Uncle John time. She will be running around next time they see each other.

After eating, Brooklyn entertained her Great Grandparents.

Brooklyn is really starting to interact with her cousin Sophia. They are separated by 9 months and are starting to become playmates. We really enjoy seeing her light up around other kids.

Brooklyn joined the her older cousins for puppy time.
Cousin Evan getting and giving some puppy love.

I LOVE PUPPIES!!

Mema gave Brooklyn a ride in the back of a Tonka dump truck. These dump trucks have a lot of hours on them as they were toys of Charlie and John when they were young.

And last but not least.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY VALERIE AND MOM!!
At the end of the day, we celebrated their birthdays. The kids lit the candles and Val enjoyed a Funfetti cupcake and Mom had a piece of angel food cake.

Family Dinner Outing

This weekend we went to Springfield, MO to watch our cousin Jordan play basketball. Afterwards the whole gang headed to Colton's for an early dinner. Let's just say our waiter had his hands full with the 15 of us :) The Love Family

Crawling!

Here is Brooklyn showing off her new moves!! For the past month she had been perfecting her army crawl and seemed to be teetering on the edge of crawling the last couple weeks. It didn't take her too long to get going and here she is on day two. We think she was showing off for her Uncle John since he was home for the weekend. Thanks Uncle John!! Brooklyn is going to give us a run for our money now.....

Coastal Hike

While visiting Monterey we were able to hike along the coast at Point Lobos with Val's parents. Brooklyn took in the views in the hiking backpack. She seem to really enjoy it and was babbling away.
Thanks Uncle Steve and Aunt Liz for letting us use it!

Here is Richard and Sandy making their way up a rocky hill. Very well done!

Hiking down some stairs at the halfway point. At the bottom, we were able to enjoy a picnic lunch. This photo gives you a nice view of the rocky coastline.

Time to recharge those batteries. Here's Grandma feeding Brooklyn a snack.

Afterwards, Daddy and Brooklyn looked for whales. No luck this time.

Of course Brooklyn missed Mom during the hike. She was excited to get out off Dad's back and give some love to mom:)

Arrr!

Brooklyn saw her first Pirate while walking Cannery Row. She was not sure who was stranger-the pirate or her Grandpa:)

Monterey

This past weekend we flew out to California to visit Val's parents. Brooklyn did awesome on the flights. She is a seasoned professional, as this is her third trip to California. While home, we visited the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Brooklyn seemed to enjoy looking at all the fish. Brooklyn with her Grandpa Richard and Grandma Sandy outside the aquarium.
Watching the sardines go round and round.

Brooklyn and Charlie watching the fish. All those silver sparkles in the background are fish.

Brooklyn and Grandpa watching the jellies. The jellyfish are a favorite of ours. They are just gorgeous!
