Gimme a High Five!

Charlie has taught Brooklyn how to high five. Here is Brooklyn showing her high five action and cheering for herself afterwards.

Over the mountain

Nothing can get in Brooklyn's way when she wants something. She will just go over the obstacle:)

Stick a Fork in it

This past week, we have introduced Brooklyn to a fork. She is very independent when it comes to eating and prefers to feed herself with finger foods over us feeding her with a spoon. She is far from being a fork expert but she is well on her way.

Standing

Brooklyn pulled herself up to her feet for the first time today. This video shows the second time we saw it. And low and behold, she went straight from standing up to climbing over the top!

Happy Easter!

Brooklyn with her first Easter basket. No candy this year, just eggs and a toy.

Swing, swing, swing everybody!

Brooklyn loves to swing. There is only two baby swings at our neighborhood park and are often in use. So when Aunt Liz offered us her swing, we said yes! While Papa Love was here babysitting this past Friday he hung it up. Now we can go swing whenever we want, thanks guys!!!

Even though she is too young to know how, Brooklyn appears to be pumping her legs a little bit. Maybe she has been taking notes on how we do it on our porch swing:)

Pointing

Brooklyn has been comprehending words lately. Here she is pointing to the light. Other words she knows include cat, pig, drink, butterfly, and a few others.

Open and Close

In the last week Brooklyn has started many new things. One of her new activities is opening and shutting the door. Most of the day all the doors are shut so it is a real treat when she gets to do it. Hi!

Just Dance!

Brooklyn is starting to appreciate music.

Val has been working on clapping for months and just this past week Brooklyn has gotten the hang of it. When music comes on Brooklyn will bounce and clap her hands.

Brooklyn's Economy Playhouse

This Sunday was a cold one so after church we hunkered down for the day. Charlie created an "economy playhouse" for Brooklyn to enjoy. It took some coaxing to initially get her in but once she was in, she had a blast. Looking out her window.

Making her way into her house.

For some added excitement, we closed up the door and gave her a flashlight. She seemed fascinated by it.
