We took Brooklyn to go see her first Royals game at
Kauffman Stadium at the end of May. Unfortunately the Royals came up short (3-5) against their division rivals the Chicago White
Sox.
It was a sellout crowd. Occasionally, Brooklyn even joined in with the cheering with her clapping.

Before the end of the game, we decided to head out in the outfield to see the new amenities at the stadium. The lady running the
carousel let us on for free. This was Brooklyn first ride on a carousel and she got to ride on the Royal's mascot Slugger! She didn't know what to think once it started and she was going up and down and around all at once. It was a little nerve racking for her but she hung in there.
Val took a turn with her too. She opted for the stationary seat so Brooklyn could relax. We must have a baseball fan on our hands cause Brooklyn was up past her bedtime and did really well. We are looking forward to taking her again.
Go Royals!
